In July 2025, we took a systems-level view of telehealth — especially in rural and underserved communities. From a systems-approach to solving Rural America’s Healthcare Crisis to five field-tested interventions for scaling rural telebehavioral health, we outlined a comprehensive approach to solving rural healthcare challenges through telehealth.

We also confronted seven persistent barriers to telehealth adoption and the need to Standardize Telehealth Training offering real-world solutions for building more sustainable and equitable virtual care services.

Finally, we examined telehealth’s growing role in hybrid prenatal care models — showing how thoughtful design and integration can help address maternal health deserts and improve outcomes for expecting parents.
